Inside Our Academy - What Classes Look Like

Start With The Course That's Right for You. 

Start with hair styling or makeup artistry — or complete both together. Classes run for a full day (approximately 6–7 hours, 1–2 days per week), with an additional 1–2 hours of recommended at-home practice between classes to support your progress.

Our professional, hands-on courses are designed to prepare you for real industry work. In the hair styling course, students train on mannequins in class and practise on real people outside of class. In the makeup course, students both apply makeup on others and have makeup applied on them, building the confidence and experience required to work with real clients.

I have just completed my hair styling course! In any industry, there is always more to learn & I have loved every minute of developing my existing skills even further. I learnt SO much in the past 10 weeks. New techniques, new styles, new ways of using products, I learnt all about the business side to hair styling & so much more. Apart from all that amazing new knowledge, I learnt a lot about myself. The fact that I could jump back into the world of hair, gain confidence, build friendships & come out feeling inspired & empowered was by far the best part. My trainer, Alondra from @academy_of_hair_and_makeup, gave the gift of her experience & went above and beyond to share so much more than technical skill.
