One-on-One Business Coaching for
Hair & Makeup Artists
Hair & Makeup Artists
I’m Alondra, founder of the Academy of Hair & Makeup, a training academy based in Melbourne where we certify over 150 hair and makeup artists every year.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve not only built my own beauty businesses, I’ve also spent a decade inside major beauty brands like MAC Cosmetics, CHANEL, and Dior, working across training, operations, and leadership roles in Australia and Dubai. That experience gave me a front-row seat to how real businesses actually function, what grows, what breaks, and why so many talented artists struggle when the business foundations aren’t in place.

This coaching is exclusively for hair stylists and makeup artists who know they’re capable of more and want to build a sustainable, professional business with clarity, confidence, and support, so their effort finally starts paying off.
Who My Business Coaching For
- You’re a qualified hair or makeup artist and you want this to be a real business, not something you do here and there.
- You’re getting clients or trying to, but you know you’re guessing your way through the business side.
- You’re tired of overthinking, Googling, and watching everyone else online and wondering what you’re doing wrong.
- You’re ready to set things up properly instead of hoping it all just works out.
- You have the time to put the work in, even if that’s 2-3 hours per fortnight to build your business.
- You don’t need chasing. When you decide to do something, you follow through.
- You want to feel confident charging properly for your work and not undercutting yourself.
If you’re looking for quick overnight fixes or hacks this won’t be the right fit. My students stay with me between 3-6 months, progressively working together.
This is NOT For You If
- You’re looking for quick fixes, hacks, or overnight results.
- You’re hoping social media alone will magically build your business.
- You’re only curious, but not genuinely ready to commit to growth.
And that’s okay. Not every stage of your journey needs coaching.
Why This Works When Other Business Courses Don’t
Most business coaching for hair and makeup artists falls into one of two camps.
Either it’s a self-paced course you’re left to figure out on your own, or it’s generic advice that doesn’t actually fit how our industry works.
This is different.
I don’t work with new artists occasionally. I work with them every single day.
Through my academy, I graduate over 150 artists every year, which means I see the same questions, blocks, and patterns come up again and again, especially in the first few years.
Pricing hesitation.
Confidence issues.
Not knowing what to focus on.
Feeling busy but not moving forward.
Trying everything and still feeling stuck.
Feeling like the only way you can get a client is by charging cheap!
This coaching is built from real experience, not theory. It’s shaped by what I see in my real-life classroom, what my graduates commonly ask me about and what has worked for me and all the artists I've helped over the last 25 years of working in the hair and makeup industry.
Because this is backed by a physical academy and years of hands-on work, the advice isn’t vague or aspirational. It’s practical, specific, and relevant to you as a hair or makeup artist.
There are no overnight promises or six-figure hype here.
This is about setting your business up properly, so you can grow with confidence, charge appropriately, and build something sustainable that actually fits your life.

How the coaching works
Step 1: Join and get supported straight away
Once you join, you’ll be part of my private coaching community for hair stylists and makeup artists. This is where you can ask questions, get feedback, and stay connected while you build. You will have direct access to me as well as other Artists just like you.
Step 2: We map out your 6-month plan
We start with a deep dive into where you’re at right now, then I create a clear step-by-step plan for the next 6 months. You’ll know exactly what to focus on and in what order, so you’re not guessing or jumping around.
Step 3: Fortnightly one-on-one coaching virtual classes
We meet every two weeks and work through your plan together. Each session I cover essential business topics that you can implement into your business right away.
Step 4: Implement with support in between
You apply what we’ve worked on between virtual classes, and if you get stuck, we schedule catch-up calls over the phone to talk through everything directly.
