General Terms and Conditions
Academy of Hair & Makeup — Terms & Conditions
By enrolling in any course, workshop, or program at the Academy of Hair & Makeup, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure clarity, fairness, and consistency for all students.
1. Enrolment & Deposit
1.1 A $500 deposit is required to secure your place in any course.
1.2 The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other dates, courses, or individuals.
1.3 Your place is confirmed once the deposit has been received and a confirmation email sent.
1.4 Apart from the 4-Class Money-Back Guarantee (see Section 5), we do not provide refunds for tuition already rendered or tuition yet to be rendered, for any reason. Once enrolled, the full course fee remains payable regardless of attendance or withdrawal, as each place in the class is reserved exclusively for that student and cannot be resold once the course has begun.
2. Payment Options
2.1 A 2.2 percent transaction fee applies to all debit/credit card and bank transfer payments. Cash payment is recommended to avoid this fee.
Option 1 — Pay in Full (Upfront)
2.2 Full tuition is paid upon enrolment, either online or over the phone.
Option 2 — Split Payment Plan (No Interest)
2.4 $500 deposit.
2.5 Fifty percent of the remaining balance is due on Class 1.
2.6 The final fifty percent is due halfway through the course:
– Makeup Course: Class 5
– Hairstyling Course: Class 4
2.7 Late payments under this plan incur a $50 per week late fee. If payment is more than 14 days overdue, your place will be forfeited and no refund will be given, unless a personalised agreement has been arranged with staff prior.
Option 3 — Weekly Instalments via Ezidebit
2.8 $500 deposit.
2.9 Remaining balance is paid in weekly instalments via Ezidebit.
2.10 Failed or dishonoured payments are subject to Ezidebit’s standard failed payment fees (charged directly by Ezidebit).
2.11 Weekly instalment amounts differ by course and are displayed at checkout.
3. Ezidebit Payment Terms (Weekly Instalments)
3.1 Your first Ezidebit payment will be deducted on the day of your first class. If your first class falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will be deducted on the next business day.
3.2 All following weekly payments will be deducted in advance of your upcoming week of classes. Payments are scheduled exactly three business days before your first class of the week.
Example (Regular once per week course): If your course runs every Sunday, your payment will be deducted on the Wednesday before each class.
Example (Express twice per week course): If your Express course runs on Monday and Tuesday, your weekly payment will be deducted on the Wednesday before each week.
3.3 Payments are deducted on the same weekday each week once your schedule is set.
3.4 Your weekly instalment amount and number of payments depend on when you join the course. Students starting later will have fewer weekly payments, which increases the weekly amount, as the full course fee must still be completed before the final class.
3.5 All weekly payment plans must be fully paid before the last day of class. Students cannot graduate or receive a certificate until the account is paid in full.
3.6 If a payment remains unpaid for seven days, your attendance will be paused until your account is brought up to date.
3.7 If payments remain outstanding for fourteen days, your enrolment may be cancelled and you will still owe the full remaining balance. Ezidebit will continue to debit the outstanding amount until it is paid in full.
3.8 Failed or dishonoured payments are subject to Ezidebit’s standard failed payment fees (charged directly by Ezidebit).
3.9 The Academy’s $50 late fee does not apply to Ezidebit instalments (Ezidebit’s own fees apply instead).
4. Late Payments & Arrears
For Split Payments (Option 2):
4.1 Late payments incur a $50 per week fee.
4.2 If payment is more than 14 days overdue, your enrolment may be cancelled and all payments made will be forfeited, as your place cannot be resold once the course has commenced.
For Ezidebit Instalments (Option 3):
4.3 Governed by Section 3 (Ezidebit Payment Terms).
5. 4-Class Money-Back Guarantee (First-Time Students Only)
5.1 Applies only to the Certified Makeup Artist Course and the Certified Hairstylist Course.
5.2 You must attend Classes 1, 2, 3, and 4 in full and in order.
5.3 If you wish to withdraw, you must notify us in writing before Class 5 begins.
Refund Conditions for 4-Class Money Back Guarantee
5.4 Refunds apply to tuition fees only. Kits, brushes, tools, accessories, and products are non-refundable.
5.5 All refunds under the 4-Class Money-Back Guarantee will have a 3 percent merchant processing fee deducted, regardless of whether payment was made upfront, by split payments, or via Ezidebit. This covers all transaction costs charged by Shopify, Square, and Ezidebit.
5.6 If you are on Ezidebit, your weekly payment plan will be cancelled upon refund approval.
5.7 Missed or incomplete attendance voids eligibility unless supported by a valid medical certificate.
5.8 Once Class 5 has commenced, no refunds will be granted and the full tuition amount becomes payable.
6. Missed Classes & Replacement Classes
6.1 Students are entitled to up to two replacement classes at no additional cost.
6.2 Replacement classes must be completed within 12 months of your original course start date.
6.3 Replacement classes are subject to availability and may be taken with another student group.
6.4 If more than two classes are missed, additional replacement classes will be charged at the standard daily rate:
Course price ÷ total number of days.
6.5 Students paying via Ezidebit must be up to date before booking or attending replacement classes.
7. Content Photoshoot & Instagram Workshop
7.1 These inclusions hold value and are not refundable, transferable, or redeemable for cash.
7.2 If you withdraw before these sessions take place, access to them is forfeited.
8. Retail Purchases, Kits & Tools
8.1 No refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
8.2 Faulty items may be returned for assessment within 30 days of purchase.
8.3 Items must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
8.4 Items will be assessed by the manufacturer to determine whether the issue is a product fault or due to misuse.
8.5 Faulty items will be repaired or replaced under manufacturer warranty guidelines.
9. Behaviour & Professional Conduct
9.1 Students must behave respectfully and professionally toward teachers, classmates, models, and staff.
9.2 The Academy reserves the right to remove any student who behaves inappropriately.
9.3 No refund will be provided in cases of misconduct.
10. Photography & Media Consent
10.1 By enrolling, you consent to photography and video being taken of you and your work for educational and promotional purposes.

11. Agreement
11.1 By enrolling and paying your deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions listed above.
